Amy Vener, Global Head of Retail Strategy
“Pinterest is the starting place for people making shopping decisions across the entire shopping journey, from the first moment of inspiration to the final purchase. And it is regardless of whether it is a gift for them or for a loved one. Tools such as visual search can help people find creative and unexpected gifts and thanks to visual recommendations, they can view additional suggestions beneath any Pin for more shoppable ideas. They can also use Lens in the search bar by simply tapping the camera icon, snapping a photo of something or using a photo in their camera roll and Pinterest will suggest similar inspirations and even products that they can purchase. For brands, this means that it is time to get their campaigns ready for people looking for products like theirs, and help create a spike in sales.”
