New Group Board features for more collaborating
We spend a lot of time talking to Pinners, and whenever we hear from creative professionals — whether hair and makeup stylists, interior designers, wedding planners, or architects — one common theme comes up: they use Group Boards constantly to collaborate with their teams and clients. And it’s not just businesses — everyone from parents meal-planning, roommates choosing new art for their living room, and friends planning a vacation turn to Group Boards to save, plan and get inspired to make those ideas a reality.
Pinterest is where people come for small group collaboration. In fact, 98% of Group Boards have five or less people, and 77% of Group Boards are between two people. Today we’re introducing our latest collaboration tools for Group Boards to make planning life moments and working on projects with others even easier, including reactions to show feedback, the ability to sort Pins to prioritize favorite ideas, and a new way to communicate with members right on the board.
With new reactions you can give quick feedback on Pins to show others in the group which ideas you’re most excited about. Just click from a range of reactions alongside a Pin including a heart or clap to show you love an idea, or a lightbulb to express that it’s inspiring, or a question mark to show you’d like to discuss an idea more.
And, with a new sorting feature, you can organize Pins by reactions and comments to prioritize the most popular ideas to help move a project forward. Soon you’ll also be able to sort by the Pinner who added the idea, and when it was saved.
In the coming weeks we’ll also be rolling out a redesigned space for communicating with your group right on the board, making it easy for members to quickly track the latest thoughts in one place.
These latest updates to make Pinterest more collaborative are beginning to roll out to all Pinners around the world across platforms. Update your app to the latest version now for access to reactions and sort features, with board notes to come. With 91% of Pinners saying that Pinterest helps them achieve their goals, we’ll continue making improvements to help everyone take ideas from inspiration to reality.
